WIPECENTRAL
is our gateway to large volumes of historical and/or dynamic
geo-spatial data located at our facility or distributed over
a number of servers in the WWW. WIPECENTRAL relies on the
use of ACT's WWW
Information Processing Environment (WIPE),
a Web-based Image Processing and Geographical Information
System (IP/GIS) that provides network-centric manipulation
of geo-spatial/temporal data associated with Earth observing
sensors. Through a simple to use web-based interface, WIPE
allows for a fully integrated hardware/software system for
the assimilation, processing, and fusion of different satellite
image data sets. The system enables users to interactively
produce high level products resulting from the data fusion
of recent and historical satellite imagery with other static/dynamic
data sets.
The WIPE
architecture has been and continues to be actively used in
support of DOD, NOAA, NASA and NATO.
